Ms Thanusha Gunasinghe

Hi, my name is Ms Thanusha Gunasinghe, and I am a qualified Licentiate Teacher from Trinity College London, with a recognised teaching qualification by Ofqual/CEA/ACCAC in Great Britain. I am also an Associate Teacher in Drama from Trinity College London, and I have experience as a Teacher Assistant for special needs students at Monash University.

In addition to my teaching qualifications, I have completed 50 hours of training from the University of Cambridge in 1994, and I hold a Dip in Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages from Trinity College London. I have also earned an official Cambridge qualification, the First Certificate in English B2 First (FCE), and an Honours certification in Effective Speaking from the Institute for Examinations in English, Music, and Speech. As a corporate member of the English Speaking Board - International Ltd U.K since 1994, I have been committed to providing quality English language education to my students.

My vision as an educator is to create a nurturing environment where children feel loved, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe that every child is unique, and it is our responsibility to help them develop into well-rounded individuals who are capable of making positive contributions to society.

My mission began at a young age when I established a private tutoring school in Colombo in 1994. My goal was to provide equal learning opportunities and sponsorships to children with less fortunate circumstances and those with learning difficulties. Since then, I have never stopped dedicating my time to the children. In 2006, I started an institution with around 300 students, and my passion for teaching has only grown stronger.

Currently, I am the Head of English and Speech and Drama at the Royal Institute International School of Higher Education. 

 

As the owner and head tutor of The Victorian Institute of English and Mathematics, I am passionate about providing students with a high-quality education in these essential subjects. My institute is dedicated to helping students excel in their studies and achieve their academic goals. With my experience and qualifications as a Licentiate Teacher from Trinity College London and a recognised teacher by Ofqual/CEA/ACCAC in Great Britain, I am confident that I can help my students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their academic pursuits. Whether students need help with English or Mathematics, I am committed to providing them with the best possible education and helping them reach their full potential.
